Conjunct Consulting is committed to strengthening social good organizations by engaging, mobilizing and empowering pro bono talent in Singapore. A registered charity in Singapore, we started in Aug 2011. Since our inception, we have worked with over 100 social good organizations, through 150+ consulting projects and corporate skills-based programs engaging over 1000 volunteers. 

A core part of Conjunct Consulting’s mission is developing high-impact social-sector leaders and building a community of socially conscious change-makers.  Through our three university chapters at NUS, SMU and NTU, we equip and deploy students to serve the priority needs of the non-profit sector, working alongside leadership of organizations such as AWWA, Singapore Cancer Society, The Salvation Army and many more. Through our work with corporates such as GE, GSK, and Macquarie Bank, we tailor skills-based volunteering projects to ensure meaningful partnerships, providing a crucial tie between good intentions and impactful outcomes. Our training arm, Conjunct Academy, works with students as well as social sector professionals to build high-impact socially conscious leaders. Over the past five years, our partners and volunteers know us for our expertise in skills-based volunteering and capacity building within social organisations. 

In the coming 3 to 5 years, Conjunct will continue to grow and develop the existing programs. Some specific areas of focus would be:

  • To grow the Conjunct Academy offerings and extending them to the social sector professionals.
  • To create a global presence for Conjunct
  • To harness Conjunct’s experience to establish ourselves as a thought leader in the social sector in Singapore.

 

About the role:

The President is the pivot of the organisation at Conjunct. Core areas of work center around strategy, leadership, volunteer management and operational efficiency. In the coming few years, the President will steer Conjunct into a space of thought leadership, service excellence and foray into new markets while ensuring that the core vision of strengthening social organisations is maintained.

Responsibilities:

 Strategic vision and leadership 

  • Work with the team to develop and implement the strategic plan while ensuring that the operational plan is aligned with the core mission.
  • Provide leadership and direction to all functional teams and executives.
  • Maintain the quality and oversee the delivery of Conjunct Consulting’s social impact programmes with the social sector, government and corporate organisations.
  • Actively seek and exploit new opportunities for expansion of Conjunct’s programs through new and existing offices and partnerships
  • Cultivate a strong and transparent working relationship with the Board.

 Financial and Operational Sustainability

  • Oversee the financial status of the organization including developing long and short term financial plans, monitoring the budget and ensuring sound financial controls are in place.
  • Set financial priorities accurately to ensure the organization is operating in a manner that supports the needs of the program and staff.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with major donors, foundations, government agencies, and corporations to explore and work & funding opportunities.
  • Ensure that Conjunct is in compliance with all relevant government and financial standards.

 Strengthening infrastructure and operations

  • Play the pivotal role in hiring, motivating and engaging volunteers, both student and professionals, across the various Conjunct services.
  • Implement and oversee processes to ensure the development and satisfaction of the organization's staff and volunteers.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and strengthen internal communications with staff + volunteers throughout the organization; create a positive, multicultural work environment that strengthens the existing sense of community

 

Candidate Requirements: 

We are looking for an energetic leader with 4 to 6 years of experience who is passionate about creating and scaling social impact in Singapore and the region. A driven, self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset who is hand-on and excited to be working in a fast-paced growing organisation. Experience in building and growing teams alongside developing & managing multiple stakeholders. Strong sense of commitment and ownership. Social entrepreneurship experience is highly desirable.

 

Process:
